Have any questions about the transition?

Why should I sell my school to Higher Ground?

We are a team of passionate educators with a sole focus of offering high-quality education to children around the world. We have a proven track record of operational efficiency and care about the community you have built. 

Is Higher Ground positioned to support my community?

Yes!  At Higher Ground we have a network of shared resources which include facilities, marketing, compliance, and accounting teams. These teams have local knowledge and will help make the transition seamless. 

How will we communicate to children, parents and staff about the transition?

We will create a transition plan with you.  We typically send out a sample email to parents and staff with corresponding FAQ documents. We also hold Staff and Parent meetings to get to know the community and address any questions. All of the communication will be customized for your school.

For my team, will they still have a position? Will their title and responsibilities stay the same when we transition?

Our goal is to make the transition as easy as possible for students, parents and staff. Over the first few weeks of the transition, we would like to get to know you and answer any questions and address concerns.  All titles will align to Guidepost roles. If your current title is Lead Teacher, your new Guidepost title will be Lead Guide. We are committed to being transparent and will communicate if there are any staffing changes.

Will the tuition change for current students?

In most cases, we are able to maintain the tuition rates that your families have paid for the current school year. This will roll forward to their Guidepost account, and  we will provide a continuing family rate sheet to outline the tuition for the next several years.

Have you acquired a non-profit school?

Yes! We have acquired several non-profit schools. In fact, our very first school was a non-profit private school in Charlotte, NC. 

Has Higher Ground bought schools in the past? How long does it typically take?

We have acquired about 25 schools since we started in 2016. The process is unique for each school, however it typically ranges from 4-6 months.

If my schools is non-Montessori, non-profit or traditional, can you still buy my school?

Yes! We have acquired several non-profit and traditional pedagogy schools. 

What changes will you make to the physical facility? Are there any improvement that will happen?

We have a in-house construction team who will , if needed, work on a detailed plan that will allow us to remodel classrooms. We also have a school programs team who will conduct set-ups without disrupting the day-to-day activity in the classrooms. In addition, Guidepost signage will be installed.
